Tremendous little restaurant... Great portions... Steak tip appetizer is very well seasoned and served in a creamy brown gravy. Dinner was also on point. They even serve an Amber French beer called Fisher... Just go you won't be disappointed!

I've liked the food when I've come here before, but this time I ordered the Sicilian sandwich and was extremely disappointed. The chicken was tough and flavorless; I can honestly say I've had better chicken at subway. When I finally asked the waitress about it, she took it back to the chef, and then returned and just said he thought it was fine. She then seemed to imply I was just trying to get a free sandwich since I had already eaten most of it. It's wonderful to have your character questioned by the staff rather than receive the slightest bit of empathy or apology for a bad experience. I will probably eat here again, but I will never order chicken.

Based on recommendation went for dinner while traveling for work. Was not impressed. Restaurant has interesting decoration but those are overshadowed by food and service received. Not impressed with food. Potatoes were overly greasy. Seemed they were drenched in it. Meat did not have much of a taste and was too chewy. Wine was completely flat. Waitress was not friendly. Very standoffish. She was either having a bad day or wasn't too happy to have to serve us. When we asked for our check she was rude and snappy.

Before I start, I want to say that I absolutely love their food. That won't change. What has changed is...well probably still the same is that the service is crappy. I ordered a cup of soup and a sandwich. The blonde lady who took my order thought i was going to only have a soup. Seriously? I even pointed the sandwich on a menu when she wrote it down. Her attitude has been shitty every time i come here. Other staff members are very courteous. But this lady, i am guessing she owns the place, seems quite bossy to her staff while not so kind to the customers. Maybe she's shitty to me only. Two, the speed of the service is very snail like. I dont even want to get into this today since my long waited sandwich finally came out. Food is the only reason i come here.

Can't afford to go to France? Go here. We felt transported back to France. Traditional menu, great decor, French chef cooking your meals... He came out and talked to everyone. Tres chic! He also creates the pastries. We ordered dessert and then two more to go! Every bite was amazing. The real French don't mess around with dessert. Les Crevettes à La Provençale is what I chose for dinner. Shrimp in pasta. Much more fancy than that though. A party in your mouth! Not kidding. Depth of flavor that the French take for granted and that American's have no clue about. I tasted the ocean even though I was in Colorado. How ever did he do that?! We will continue to dream of this place forever. A true piece of France in America. I haven't ever found that, until here. We would've eaten every other meal here on our vacation to Colorado, but we discovered it too late.

Quaint place that is decorated perfectly for a French restaurant. Great for a first date or small party. Food was excellent. Wild mushroom omelette was very good. The Swiss Alpes casserole was also good. Prices are very reasonable. Service could be a little more friendly but overall we will be coming back.

My wife & I had the pleasure of discovering La Baguette and were throughly delighted. We had the frommage plate, mushroom soup, spinach salad and Mussels. The cuisine was superb and the service attentive. We throughly enjoyed our dinner date and highly recommend La Baguette

Note - this review is long overdue and being posted about three weeks after this visit occurred. So I have to say that this might be the toughest review to write. This was the first time we had been out in a date night in far to long. With that said this was a choice from one of the other couples that was with us and had great promises we started the night. The menu is full of dishes that I'm sure are all very well prepared when the correct dish arrives at your table. However tonight's meal was not that case. I ordered one of the evenings specials - Feta and Spinach Ravioli with a garlic cream sauce. Was to be my main dish and I also ordered a side soup of Tomato Bisque. I chose a starter of the pirogies as well to get things going and to share with the table. The pirogies came out and were nicely done and tasted good. It was obvious that they were fresh and a dish that is something they make all the time. I was then told that they didn't have the soup I ordered so I went without as the others offered that evening did not interest me. This was strike one on the evening. My main dish arrived, it looked and smelled great. The garlic cream sauce was wonderful. I ate the dish but noticed that it was not very strong on feta or spinach. I assumed that the filling of the ravioli was made in such a way that the flavors were well mixed. It was not until AFTER I finished my dish that the Head Chef came out and asked how I enjoyed it. He then mentioned that they had made a mistake and had given me the squash filled ravioli and I had not actually had what I ordered. This was actually strikes Two and Three for the evening. It was almost comical to him and there was no offer to make any kind of adjustment on the bill for the mistake but he seemed happy that I enjoyed the wrong dish. I did end up getting a "free" dessert for the evening but it didn't make up for the fact that nothing I ordered during the evening (other than the Pirogies) was correct. Honestly there are a lot of things I can say, but I'll say that I will likely not return to give this place another try. It was a completely ruined date night for my wife and I and for the cost of what we actually ate...it not worth another attempt.

I came here for lunch and had the shrimp and linguini, not sure the French name but it was absolutely incredible! The sauce was perfection and the 5 huge shrimp literally melted in my mouth. God bless the French lady that owns this place with joy and excitement because she is talented.

It is pretty sad when you get to a restaurant at 2pm on a Saturday (May 23) and see a sign that reads they'll be closed from 2:30 to 5. My wife and I walked in, were immediately greeted and shown to a table where we sat. No menus were delivered. No water or an offering of something to drink. We sat for ten minutes waiting for a server, nothing. The restaurant had about five tables occupied, not busy, and were adequately staffed for more. The table next to us waited almost an hour for food. Unacceptable. We walked out and went elsewhere. I was hoping to try their French Onion soup but with service like this I would recommend going elsewhere.

Walking through the doors of La Baguette is as close to teleporting as I have ever came. From the décor to the painted walls to the charming music to the meandering chef dressed in black and white striped pants, La Baguette is a slice of Paris relocated to Colorado Springs. If you bring relatives from out of town or that special someone here, you will be sure to impress. My wife and I stumbled in for an early brunch. I ordered their croque Madame and received, quite possibly, the largest croque known to man. This thing was huge...like feed the entire coast of Normandy huge. Thankfully, my wife ordered the salad and we split the two. Both dishes were fantastic. The salad was loaded with kalamata olives, avocados and generous strips of chicken. Glazed with a fruity vinaigrette, this Mediterranean dish was an excellent compliment to my rather large Croque. My dish was very cheesy and doused in their house béchamel sauce, sinfully rich. As an added bonus, the check wasn't outrageous either, right around $30 for the two of us. I certainly will be back to explore the rest of their menu and I recommend you do the same.

I've eaten here a couple of times and the food I've tried (the ratatouille with or without salmon) was magnifique! I also found it amazing that they have wild caught Alaskan salmon! Not too many places have wild caught fish; they're mostly farmed, which I try my best to stay away from. Their bread is also baked fresh too! They have a selection of breads to choose from. They tried their best to give the restaurant that authentic French bakery/cafe feel, and I believe they've succeeded by playing folk, classical and romantic French songs. Another cool thing is that the cook/owner always comes up to the table to ask how the food is and making sure the guest is enjoying their experience. Great place.

The service was fast and pleasant. Food was delicious, my husband had pasta with clams and I had the croque madame. We shared the fondue but didn't enjoy it as much. The best dish was the lemon cake at the end, the slice was huge and we were glad we only ordered one to share.

This restaurant was chosen on a whim- my husband and I were driving around looking for a restaurant we could find something to warm us up (fall / winter is finally upon us). We walked in and immediately felt at home. I'm not big on French cuisine, but I did not leave hungry or unsatisfied. We started off with a Tomato Bisque, my mouth is watering just thinking back to how thick and hearty it was. For the main course I ordered their corned beef hash (homemade) with 3 eggs sunny side up. I have to admit, I haven't had corned beef hash that comes close to what I experienced. Absolutely delicious, seasoned and cooked to perfection. I don't usually order dessert but I'm glad I did! Their Petite-Four was the perfect dessert to close out a delicious meal. If you're in the mood for some delicious authentic French cuisine with a "mom's kitchen" feel then this is the restaurant for you! I will definitely be back, I have my eye on their French Onion Soup- yum!

This place was incredible. Despite being in a tiny strip mall, the first step into the place transported us back to France. The music, the decor, and the FOOD, my god, the FOOD. Simply amazing. We had it all: a bottle of Rose, a starter salad, French Onion soup, Boeuf Bourguignon, Crevettes à La Provençale, the mousse, and apple/cin/berry bread pudding. I've never eaten more in all of my life. And, I got a lemon cake AND an Éclair to go. Everything was perfect. Oh, how I wish I lived next door. Well, I'd be broke and 200 pounds heavier. But, hey, the French are thin. Hmmmmmm... Keep up the amazing work! You should be so proud.

My brother and I went to this restaurant on saturday afternoon. The experience wasn't great. We started with ordering coffee, which was both old coffee and foamy from large container they brew in (your a "french bistro" why dont you serve coffee in a french press they're $12 for the unit and cost maybe $0.50 to serve. And when you serve it fresh the customer picks the strength so if it sucks they have only themselves to blame). I ordered the baguette sandwich and vinegrete salad. The salad was pretty good, especially for price of the combo and you got a full 12" sandwich ($11). I'm a big fan of simple sandwiches with few ingrediants which I love seeing on the menu. Too bad the baguette was so tough you had to rip the bread for each bite then chew for a minute and a half. The bread is the largest part of a sandwich and your name has baguette in it...When I told the waitress she told me "that's just a baguette".....No it's not. She took the plate with my remaining salad and the sandwich so I'm stuck at the table with nothing (except the bloody Mary I ordered to replace that god awful coffee, which wasn't half bad but cost 8 of my $21 dollar bill)just getting more pissed off. She returns with a croissant and sandwich with out notifying me of the change rather than just a different baguette and my sandwich (i get it, bread goes stale, s**t happens, but don't change my order... That's why I ordered it). And we spent the rest of the time there with no more service except to gather our bill. All in all, terrible service, poor management, no check on ingrediants and just general dumbassery. Who knows maybe there staff was just filled with morons this time. They are close to home so I might try again at another time.

Honestly it is hard for me to give this place a fair review since I am not someone who really wanted to go to a French theme restaurant. But my wife was really wanted to try it out since some co-workers were bragging about it. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised but how nice it is and how great the service was. It got really busy in there fast and the owner and one waitress never once lacked in service the whole time. On top of that I wasn't really sure what to order on the menu since I have not eaten many French recipes before. But everything we ordered turned out great and it left a top notch impression on us. The only thing I need to stress is the food does take a little while to come out to you. And I think this is because everything is being made to order. So don't go here expecting food within the first 20 minutes you are there. All in all I would definitely recommend this place, it is more of refined establishment so going there for Mother's Day or Anniversary would definitely be acceptable.

I split a croque madame and a salad with my husband here. The salad was good not smothered in dressing like so many salads tend to be. The croque madame was good too. First of all it was huge, there is no way the French women eat this much food for one meal. So basically the best of all world's french food super-sized but with out all of the grease. I was very happy I spilt it. The food it's self was not the best french breakfast food I have ever had but something I certainly would get again. I may be completely wrong and I'm sorry "la baguette" if I am but I was expecting it to taste a little different. I thought it wasn't the type of cheese that normally comes on the dish. But hey its your menu and nothing says it has to be a certain way. We need creative people doing cool stuff in this world! Good over all and very cute decorations.

I am SO in love! I don't give 5 stars out easily but in this case, well deserved. I was visiting the Springs when my folks were in town so as usual, I turned to Yelp for some guidance for a lunch spot. The reviews were great, the menu looked awesome so we thought to give it a try. We arrived a little around 2 pm so when we walked in, the place was mostly empty. But before we even walked in, we were already charmed by the outside. When we walked in, it's even cuter inside! Inconceivable! We sat down at a table and the owner lady soon stopped by. Their menu doesn't look extensive, some soup, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, but everything on there looks so good that even though we're starving, we were still having a hard time deciding. After a while, we finally decided on the following: cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, and a chicken casserole. Doesn't look like a lot of food for 3 people right? WRONG! There were so much food we had leftovers. The soups were amazing. The cream of mushroom is so creamy, one of the best cream of mushroom soup I've had in a while. The boeuf bourguignon is just the right texture and taste. Not too salty, good amount of chunky beef, and perfectly cooked pasta. And the chicken casserole... My mom actually hates casserole because unfortunately, her only casserole experience thus far had been cafeteria style soggy mess, so she was reluctant when I ordered it. This chicken casserole blew her mind. It had chicken chunks, apple, and potatoes in a cheesy cream sauce. This casserole made me mad at myself for not being able to fit more food into my stomach. We were plenty stuffed after the food, but after staring at their dessert case all through the meal, I can't not have dessert. I ordered a eclairs, and they came back with a plate of happiness. They added whip cream and chocolate syrup on the already amazing dessert. The cream was light and fluffy, just as they looked. I was stuffed to the gills but I couldn't stop, I'm like a mad person at that point. So before I left, I ordered a croissant and a black and white cookie to go. The service was friendly but wasn't very attentive, most likely since we got there at their tail end of lunch. With food like that though, I don't care if I had to eat on the floor. I live in Denver but I want to drive all the way down there just for their meal. It's so worth the long drive; gas money, traffic and all. If you haven't been to this place, drop what you're doing and plan a trip there, now. P.S. their creamy and cheesy goodness is probably not the best thing you can have if you're on a serious diet. But it's also worth it to eat them and then spend an extra hour or so on the treadmill later.

It was that good!!! It is cute and quaint and not at all what you'd imagine in an old strip mall behind a Wendy's. I will make the trip from Littleton again soon to get more of the soup du jour (my daughter ordered better than I did) which today was "mushroom" - it was the best soup I have ever eaten. Ever. It was creamy and had a sherry/tarragon flavor and so many mushrooms. Noms. While her choice was better, it was only marginally better than the best French onion soup I have ever eaten. It was so dark and so thick and properly prepared with bubbly top. We also split a Croque Madame which was PERFECT. The bread was proper French bread, slightly smeared with a delicious Dijon and topped with very tasty ham, salty Swiss cheese, and smothered in creamy bechamel and topped with a perfectly fried egg. We had some petit fours to wash it all down and they were a tiny and lovely ending to a delicious meal.

My wife and I have been here several times. Today we were driving right by at 1:30. My wife suggested we stop in for lunch and I responded the people who came at 12:00 are still waiting to be served. She agreed and said the owner would probably just tell us it would easier for her if we went home and fixed lunch for ourselves rather than bother her.

Absolutely the best French restaurant I have ever eaten at. We are from Seattle, WA but currently live in Albuquerque, NM. My husband frequents the springs for work (work head quarters is here). We combined a personal trip with a work trip and my husband said we had to stop here. So glad we did!! I have personally been to France a few times and lived in Italy for two years and my husband lived in Germany for a few years and we are always on the look out for some amazing European cuisine that will transport us back in time. This was one of those rare places. The menu was perfect. Lots of classic French choices peppered with other tasty delights. We were there with our two children ages 6 and 7 and they were very pleased with kids menu. The 7 year old had a grilled cheese with ham (not just any old grilled cheese might I add... We do fancy grilled cheese at home where we add different things to it and he said this was better than ours) and wanted seconds. The 6 year old had the tortellini and ate almost all of it (it was loaded with garlic and she loved every bite). My husband and I both had sandwiches and they were both so good that we didn't give up too many bites to each other. We ended with the lemon cake... Oh the lemon cake!!! It reminded me of sitting in a cafe in Paris with goods friends. It was perfect!! Lastly, the atmosphere, the service, and the owner were all outstanding!! Having two small children I always wonder how things are gonna go down with the server etc... By the end. The kids didn't want to leave. They loved our server and the owner came out and talked with them and helped them pick out dessert. We felt like family!! We will absolutely be heading back. There is a slice of lemon cake with our name on it!

Accurately, I would give it 3.5 stars. The food was excellent. The menu is big & the atmosphere very nice. Service is the pet-peeve. All meals were brought out individually, one at a time. For such a nice place, we were surprised this was their method of service. One meal was not prepared as ordered. When each of us asked for coffee, the server took each cup individually to the coffee station & refilled it. Bringing the coffee pot over to the table, clearly, would have been more efficient. No one came back to ask how our meals were. We had to ask for the check & then we waited & had to bring the tabs to the counter to pay. It seemed like there were only 2 servers for the entire place & if they were short staffed, they could have told us for some empathy! But, I am guessing that this type of service is the norm? Anyway, despite all this, we'll be back for the food! =)

My review is for the experience of service, the decor, while enjoying a cup of coffee. It's super clean, and I can appreciate a lot of time, effort, and expense was placed into it's decor. But, it's way too Disney-like for me...and way too much going on for it be in the category of French authentic. Getting transported to France (Paris, in particular), is my everlasting hope from any French place. A huge wall mural with kitschy hand paintings, chandeliers from the ceilings every 10 feet, and a candelabra at every table is overkill and unnecessary. It takes from cute and quaint to touristy. Positives: a super large menu of choices, crazy nice service, a small amount of outdoor seating, and yep - great coffee. If I am ever back in Colorado Springs again, I'm curious enough to try dinner here. So, perhaps the rating goes up from a solid 3.

My husband and I love coming here, as it reminds us of French foods we had in Paris. I love the feel inside, it's cozy and welcoming. We're also addicted to their French onion soup, do try it! Our waitress noticed my deafness and was immediately attentive to stand in front of me so I'd see her and be able to read her lips. She's also professional and friendly, which is very appreciated! We plan to come back very soon. :)

A new favorite brunch spot. We started off with mochas which were awesome. I got the almond crusted French toast which was fantastic! Highly recommend this dish. My husband got the Dublin corn beef casserole which was also great. You can't go wrong here.

Baguette easily slides into first as my favorite brunch venue in the Springs. Nobody does eggs like the French. Loved everything we ordered, with a special mmm for the feta quiche: toasty around a soft and scrumptious center. The service was a bit wobbly, but very friendly, and I love the pace of French dining - you can take your time on the conversation and the cheese plate, and know that your brunch is still going to be served at exactly the right temperature. My recollection of the cafes and restaurants in Paris is that they were more minimalist than the decor with which Baguette presents, but that doesn't mean it's not charming. The feel is authentic, if un peu over the top. I know I called a couple things out in this review, but I wouldn't change a thing about it. Lovely place.

Great location located right off of I25 & Garden of the Gods exit (head West) and south at the first intersection light. You'll see the small store front to the west. Great food with matching prices. Quaint place with booths as well as tables for seating. Friendly staff with a cozy atmosphere.

I've eaten here for breakfast a few times. Everything I or my friends have eaten has been delicious. The service is fast and usually friendly. The last time I was there the waitress was snotty to me, but not to my friends. Not sure why. From the bakery, some of the pastry is a bit off from what one would expect. I ordered an eclair to go the last time I was there and rather than being filled with a custard, it was filled with whipped cream. Also a runny chocolate on top that was not well set. I was very disappointed and it was not worth $5 or the calorie splurge. Also the choux pastry was not very good at all. It didn't hold together well. I make far better myself. Heck even King Soopers does. Breakfast with mimosas was far too pricey for what we got. My breakfast was $40 (with the mimosas split 4 ways), and all we got was a cheap bottle of champagne and a very small pitcher of OJ (equivalent to a glass). All I had to eat was a 2 egg cheese omelet (delicious), the aforementioned odd pastry, and an extra glass of orange juice for the mimosas. For $40 it should have been WAY better than what I got. Atmosphere is distinctly French and you feel like you're sitting in a French bistro in Paris. Overall it's a good place to eat, just watch the prices and know that the pastry may not be exactly what you're expecting.

Do not eat here! I would not give it any stars if I could. First, the long black hair in my omelet. Returned and did not want to eat anymore. My father had a piece of plastic in his quiche. The coffee was lukewarm temperature at best and watered down. We sent it back. They did make a fresh brew. The worse was when a cat walked across our feet under the table. They keep a cat in the kitchen area which got out. Never go back!

Great place for brunch. I had the Croque Madame w/ a Fried Egg for $8.95. Basically a sandwich with two thick rustic breads with ham, cheese, and deli mustard. The sandwich is toasted in the oven and then the the chef puts a fried egg on top. This was accompanied by a delicious french onion soup with a crust of melted cheese. Really good Comfort food to have on a cold Colorado Springs morning...truly delicious!

If you're in Colorado Springs this is a "must go" venue. Reminds me of the bistros in Paris along the Champs Élysées. The food is fabulous and authentic. The chef has top-notch experience from fine venues in the Bay Area. The wild mushroom omelette for breakfast will knock your eyes out (and taste buds). The sandwiches are terrific. The dinners are peerless, I've never had a disappointing dish. I come here regularly, it's a local "pocket paradise."

So nice I went here twice. I'm not kidding, this place was a little french bit of heaven tucked into the awesomeness that is Colorado Springs. I went with Jerms both days so here is our breakdown: Day 1 We only wanted a snack before the wedding we were attending. Each of us ordered soup; Jerms had the french onion which was awesome and I had the creamy mushroom which was as equally awesome. It came with like half a baguette of tasty bread. I also got a latte and he got a tea - so tasty. Day 2 Jerms and I went for breakfast/brunch. Holy cow. I ordered the mushroom and cream omelette and he had one of the casserole dishes (I can't remember which one) - all I know is that we were both in heaven. I also ordered chocolate chaud (hot chocolate) and it was really good - not too rich, not to creamy, big ass mug - what more could I want. I also had a honey ginseng tea which was tasty. Jerms had tea too. We left there ready to give birth to our food babies and with happy little faces. I am totally coming back to this place when I return to Colorado.

I don't want be that big city elitist knocking everything, but with complete honesty, this place is quite average. my omelet was salty and greasy. for people venturing a little north, I highly recommend Pierre Michel in highlands ranch. that place has amazing breakfast eggs and pastries. heck, i live in denver and drive 40 mins for pierre michel. it is seriously worth the drive.

Very nice decor and vast menu. A place to come for a quick bite or a date makes this place very versatile. Very affordable French cuisine with amazing balance of flavors. We have ordered the Ratatouille, Bistro Dip, French onion soup and have been amazed with every bite. I look forward to each visit to Colorado Springs because of this place.

This place is just a treasure! I give it four stars only because the service could have been better, somewhat slow and messed up a few of our orders. The food though was just excellent. I got the avocado, tomato and basil salad and those with me had the trout and salmon. We all were very satisfied and plan to return. We were sad we didn't have room to try dessert!!

Food is amazing, the atmosphere is nice, the place gets crowded, but the service needs major improvement. They seem to take a liking to certain people and ignore the rest. Me and another dinner mate been totally ignored sitting with dirty dishes in front of us wanting dessert and a beverage while some of my other eating mates have been waited on. It's a strange experience.

Really enjoy this great little spot. It was packed for lunch. The prices were a little high for lunch, but it is worth it. I ate the Bistro Dip, and enjoyed the horseradish sauce very much. The "dip" was very rich and thick, seemed to be the same as the base for their french onion soup. Friends ate the nicoise salad, and found it very fresh with just the right amount of dressing. I love the atmosphere of this place, just like a cafe in France. It was a bit loud, though, making conversation a little difficult. I will definitely come back if I am in CO Springs again.

This place is great! The mushroom & cream omelet I had this morning is one of the best omelets I've ever had. I've been thinking about it all day and can't wait to go back and have it again. The red light in the women's bathroom is kind of funky and cool.

Wow! I heard this was a charming little restaurant for lunch, decided to go for dinner after hiking one day. We were debating on going thinking we may have been a bit under dressed but were so glad we decided to go anyways. The best meal and service I have had in the springs so far. I had the special of the day which was salmon in a lemon/terragon sauce with ratatouille and quinoa. The flavors all complimented each other and nothing was too overpowering. I just finished eating my leftovers and they were just as delicious. The bread was chewy and so good I couldn't stop myself from consuming way too much. My friend had the steak Dianne, which was also very tasty. While she had a large serving, she said it was so good she felt like eating another plate. Everything about the place from the service to the bathroom is welcoming, charming, and cozy. The waitress also explained that everything was cooked to order nothing prepared ahead of time. Can't wait to return, this will be the place I recommend to anyone who wants restaurant advice!

This place rocks. Everything I eat here is fantastic. I ordered the quiche last time and it was the best quiche I have ever had. The rolls and croissants are authentic and fresh. The French onion soup is very hearty and tasty. I also had the French Sandwich once with Brie, ham and lettuce. Loved it. I usually have to park across the street in the college parking lot since La Baguette seems to think they can have an awesome restaurant but only 3 parking spots. I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. It feels like only best friends and people who are very much in love are eat there.

The casseroles were phenomenal. I can't wait to go back because the menu is covered with wonderful choices with little repetition. The ambiance was wonderful, the service was fine (they were still quite busy on a Saturday afternoon around 2). We ordered the 2 casseroles in the breakfast section and they were wonderful. The eggs were perfect and the flavors well balanced. We also ordered coffee to drink which was quite tasty and from Serrano's which is nice. French Roast is typically smoky and this was that. We can't wait to return.

Ooh la la! This is one of my favorite breakfast places in town. They have two locations: one off of Garden of the Gods and the other in Old Colorado City. I prefer the GoG location because I love the owner and it's more cozy than the other touristy location. When I frequent restaurants I like to go through and try something different on the menu. But here I'm stuck on their omelette with mushrooms and french cream. It brings me back to my senior trip to Paris. I just can't bring myself to try anything else for breakfast. The eggs are perfectly prepared. They are fluffy and golden in a perfect omelette shape. The mushrooms are a plenty and in a cream reduction. Heavenly! Sometimes the mushrooms have been served in the omelette and sometimes they are over the eggs. I have no preference because it's delicious either way. Served with a side of fruit and a mini french bread round. I'm gluten free now, and one of the things I miss is this crusty bread with the soft chewy center and a generous slather of butter. These days I save it to give to someone. I can never bring myself to leave it on the plate. One day I'll fight the temptation to order the same thing and venture to other breakfast item. I have come here once for lunch and had the boeuf beef bourguignon, which was pretty mouth watering. The beef was tender and fell apart in my mouth. The flavors were balanced and it was gone before I knew it. i highly recommend this place for a little slice of France.

I have been coming here for as long as they have been open at this location. It was vacuous and warehouse-like in the past. That's until new owners revamped the place a few years ago. They have managed to create a space that is cozy and European. In addition to the existing fare, they have added more entrees and selections to the menu. Wonderful food and now a great selection of wine too! Plus they are open for dinner. The parking is kind of a hassle, but it's definitely worth the effort.

Ooh, la la! If you love the vibe of a French brasserie or cafe, and you haven't been to La Baguette lately -- get off your derriere! When this place was just a glorified bakery, I still loved going for the genuine French breads and pastries. Now that they've given the place a complete make-over, the category of French Bistro now has a clear leader in Colorado Springs. If you've lamented the loss of Cafe Maison, never quite felt that La Creperie has been the same since changing owners . . . whatever your bouef, La Baguette will put a knowing French smile back on your face. The atmosphere is fantastic, with sidewalk seating when the weather permits, and an air conditioned slice of Parisian life indoors. Yes, the chef is French and wow, does he ever whip up the goods! Best onion soup in town, fantastic creamy pasta dishes with a liberal blast of fine herbs, excellent mains and appetizers . . . and, very solid wines by the glass and bottle that won't break your bank account. Like any genuine French bistro, they expect you to linger over your wine, so this is not the place to come if you're rushed for time. If you're hungry, order an app, because your main is going to be cooked from scratch and will take a while. Not exactly romantic, but it does have a casual French vibe that could be very sexy if you and your love interest are not too fussy.

Food is great! If you are planning on coming in, or a sandwich on fresh baguette and French onion soup. Fair warning, after a meal this good, hopefully you don't have to head back to the office, cause you wont want to move for quite some time. Food is rich, but not overpowering and the subtleties in the layer of their sandwich are too good for words. French onion soup is warm and inviting, without being too salty. A great sandwich place, and next time I'm in the area, I will for sure be munching here again!

Had a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Only three other people in the place and another two came in and out while I dined inside. Nice size dining area and a cozy area with couches where you can hang out reading, mindlessly web surfing or staring vacantly at your phone while eating. They must have wi-fi but I cannot say whether it's free or not. I had a salad of greens with a vinaigrette which was small but fresh and tasted good. The french onion soup was good as well. Lucky for me I'm a small gal cause the portions were very small but filled me up sufficiently. I did not get a drink but did get a glass of water which was free. My total just for the small portion of soup and salad was $10.00. . . .along with the tip, pretty pricey. I ordered at the counter (not sure if I needed to order at the counter or not) found a seat and my food was served timely. Before leaving I purchased two crossiants with chocolate inside to take home. I warmed them in the oven like the waitress suggested and they were very good!!

Outstanding. As a visitor from san Francisco. I visited this restaurant for the first time and was welcomed by the French chef and owner. I found out he was from the bay area as well and familiar with some of my favorite french bistros. I have to say each meal was nicely prepared. One thing in particular was the onion soup. It was tasty and can tell good stock was used (or well doctored :-)) and the crusty bread was a bonus. During the meal I enjoyed a nice french beer and was in a happy place. Make sure to visit this C Springs treasure. I have read some of the negatives, but understand each place can be have a bad day, however, I was pleasantly surprised compared from my other dining experiences on this planet. Lastly, any Chef or owner who feels comfortable with his product and trys to visit with guest gets two thumbs up in my book. Went here for lunch after all the positive Yelps and several local friend recommendations. We had very good French Onion soup and only average sandwiches (ham, turkey & chicken salad). Kids Pasta was good and coffee was outstanding. There are plenty of other items on the menu; so, we'll go back to try several of them; but honestly, based on this one visit, we must be in the area to go....it's not a "drive across town" place for us (maybe it's just our taste buds). ( Warning: Parking is really tough at the noon hour.)

Ambiance: Nicely appointed restaurant tucked away behind a non descript strip mall. Mural paintings on on walls. You order at counter, you get a number, they bring the food to you. Service: Friendly, but nothing more than what I would expect. Food: Same as other location. Awesome. Great sandwiches and omelets. (See my full review under the Pikes Peak location). I love La Baguette. Though this location is more convenient to where I live and work, I would much rather dine at their downtown location on Pike's Peak -- I think the service is much better there, and the ambiance and decor has a European feeling to it that this location doesn't. (So this location loses half a star for not being quite up to the same dining experience you would encounter from their downtown location. )

This place is pretty great! Their salads are really delicious and they have pretty good service. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the french onion soup. You have to be really careful not to over salt it and I have only had it once where it was the right amount of salt. So if you have special dietary needs I wouldn't recommend that soup, but everything else I have had was great. Really Great place for Lunch!

There are three La Baguettes, I haven't had a chance to eat in this one recently--it seems closed a lot. It used to be connected to the other 2--one downtown, one in Old Colorado City but it might be separate now.

Flew in to Denver to visit family and made a beeline to our favorite French Bistro. It has been over a year and what a makeover!!!! FULL BAR awaits you now, but our main desire ALWAYS had been to have a good vino to match their indescribable french onion soup. And today was the day. The atmosphere is totally french brasserie with outdoor seating remniscient of any city, small parking lot but worth a jog to get here. The baked crock of french onion soup is TO DIE FOR. perfect carmelized onion meltingly immersed in a beef broth that is perfectly balanced; all facets of onion/broth/croute/cheese are perfectly to the tooth and the palate. Never have been disappointed here. It is always hot and bubbling over toasted in the crock and served with a crusty french roll and a butter pat. We cannot return to COS and not make this visit a priority......it is that good. We live in San Diego and have wonderful restaurants, and we travel and dine well, but every time we try to match the french onion soup at any other venue, it lacks. Yes I have had salad -the perfect presentation_crisp, fresh, cold and delicious....and my mom tries all the other soups and rates them excellent; but when you crave perfection, my husband and I hands-down come back here to touch the benchmark french onion soup. ( pastries are great, if you have room!)

I'm from chicago and visit colorado springs twice a year to see my grandparents. This restaurant is ok for colorado springs but I dont understand why the reviews were so high. Its definitely less expensive than most places. The french onion soup was definitely not fresh. Wasn't horrible but you could tell it had been pre-made. The only place that i have been in the springs that competes with places in major cities is shuga's on cascade

Excellent spot for lunch! The French Onion Soup is a must get, and you can't go wrong with any of their baguette's; they make their bread/baguettes fresh every day in huge french ovens located off-site somewhere. It's the closet in quality to a typical french bakery/cafe/brasserie I've visited outside of Paris. Excellent desserts as well.

I'm not usually a croissant fan- but their cream cheese croissants are TO DIE FOR! They are big, reasonably priced, and such a treat. I'm dreaming about them in WA! Their coffee and service are also very good- feel free to stop in any time. But if you want that croissants you better get there early!

So yummy - this place is a classic! Sandwiches on baguettes with grapes? Good. Fondue with bread and apples? Good. Beef Bourguignon? Good. Quiche and salad? Good. Tortellini? Also good. French Onion Soup? Absolutely perfect. I have never been disappointed with an order here and once even ate at La Baguette 3 days in a row because I just couldn't get enough of it. Just hits the spot every time. My favorite part about coming here is dessert. I don't often order dessert at restaurants, but almost always order the creme caramel at La Baguette. Typically this is served right when you order and I eat it right then too - before I even get my meal because it is just that fantastic. (Excuse me, I may need a moment...)

Had lunch here today after a long, dusty hike. Even though I was grubby and wearing running shorts, I got a nice welcome from the chef/owner and he immediately took care of our drinks. We had the croque monsieur & croque madame plus a shared house salad. The salad was fresh, herb-y (tarragon, I think) and perfectly dressed with vinaigrette. Our croques were yummy--ham & cheese on fresh bread, covered with bechamel goodness. Huge. We should have split one so I would have had room to sample the desserts.

I grew up with La Baguette. I have been there sooo many times, but my visit there today reminded me to come spread some YelpLove to La Baguette. I decided to visit my hometown today and when my mom asked where I would like to go to lunch, my answer was obvious. I would say this is my favorite lunch spot in Colorado Springs. My addiction started when my high school French teacher would order us La Baguette pastries and breads every Friday. We would munch on the scrumptious croissants during class. My addiction furthered when my brother introduced me to their cheese fondue. Now, I don't like to point fingers, but damnit I'm blaming some gained weight of mine on this irresistible dish. It's served with a full ficelle bread and an apple..*drool* It's not a heavy tasting fondue. It's very smooth and light in consistency. The onion soup and the tortellini are my other favorites. Good luck if you want a seat around lunch time. Get it to go! The downtown and the Old CO City locations have parks nearby to enjoy your meal in. :)

Amazing! I discovered la Baguette during my first visit downtown Colorado Springs. The service is great, and their food is incredible! Their omelets are tasty, their bread is amazing and they serve good coffee (though I could have a smaller portion). If you're wondering where to have a nice breakfast downtown, this is definitely a good choice.

A friend in NYC recently wrote asking to go to brunch when she comes to visit. "Let's go to La Baguette!" she said. "I'm craving their apple croissants and coffee." I personally like the chocolate croissant better-- different than most chocolate fillings; they use something like semi-sweet chocolate chips in theirs. Come for lunch, and if you're undecided, the french onion soup is a great choice. I have a hard time ordering anything else, it's so good. The croissant sandwiches, corn chowder, and tortellini are also great. Take some baked goods home for tomorrow's breakfast. All the locations in town are great with the same cuisine and nice atmosphere.

We came down to the springs for the weekend and decided to try this place based on it's excellent reviews. Its a little unassuming place where you order at the front and we were not sure what to expect. This is the best french onion soup I have ever had in my life. We also ordered the ravioli which was amazing as well. We took some pastries to go since everything was so good. They were all good, but there was a raspberry, cream cheese pastry that was so good that we went back to pick up more. I would recommend this place to anyone, the prices are very reasonable and the food was phenomenal.

La Baguette is a great place to grab a quick lunch or some pastries in the morning. Their french onion soup is great and so is their alfredo. The amount and quality of food that you can get for a relatively low price makes this a place I will definitely return to in the future.

I went there twice during during my visit and tried several items on the menu like the onion soup, omelette, quiche, beef stroganoff, and pastries. Their French onion soup is really outstanding, better than the ones that I've had elsewhere. Almost everybody did order the French onion soup with bread. The chocolate danish is OK, but their cream cheese danish is another winner that goes well with a cup of French roast coffee... mmm
